Our Heritage
In the year 1985, the wise founders of Vijay Educational Society recognised a dearth of good healthcare educational institutions for courses like Nursing, BPT, B.Sc (MLT), and MPHW. The vacuum was filled with the birth of VIMS — a very welcome and timely move for healthcare education in Andhra Pradesh.
VIMS set a trend for others to follow. It created innovative teaching modules for students aiming for healthcare courses, and through its integrated coaching programme, has found success from the year of its inception.
Vijay Educational Society started its journey with Vijay Niketan at Vijayawada in 1973. Today, VES runs nursing, physiotherapy, and paramedical institutions spread across the state with a presence of over 50 years.

The Tatti Ramaswamy Memorial Physiotherapy Clinic is dedicated to providing quality physiotherapy and rehabilitation services with a strong focus on patient care, functional recovery, and improved quality of life. The clinic offers professional assessment and individualized rehabilitation programs for patients experiencing musculoskeletal, neurological, orthopedic, and mobility-related conditions. With the support of trained physiotherapy professionals and students, the clinic promotes evidence-based treatment, therapeutic exercises, pain management, and rehabilitation techniques in a caring environment. It also serves as an important clinical learning platform, helping physiotherapy students develop practical skills, professional competence, and a patient-centered approach to healthcare.
Electrotherapy Lab
The Electrotherapy Lab at VIMS College of Physiotherapy provides students with practical exposure to modern electrotherapeutic modalities used in physiotherapy treatment and rehabilitation. The laboratory is equipped to support hands-on learning in techniques such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound therapy, TENS, interferential therapy, and other therapeutic modalities. Through supervised practical sessions, students learn the safe and effective application of electrotherapy for pain management, muscle stimulation, tissue healing, and functional recovery. The lab plays an important role in strengthening clinical skills, technical knowledge, and confidence required for professional physiotherapy practice.
